Used euro pallets are the most sensible choice for most warehouses and production sites: sound, standard, 1200×800 mm – and considerably cheaper than new ones. Where our used pallets come from

G-PAL operates as a pallet exchange. Every day we buy back pallets from warehouses, manufacturers, traders and construction companies. At our yard in Plovdiv they are inspected, sorted by grade and repaired where needed. We repair euro pallets under EPAL licence BG-308, an official licence issued by EPAL. The result is pallets that meet the requirements and can go back into use.

Light and dark: what’s the difference?

Used EPAL pallet – light

Light pallets are less worn. The timber has kept its light colour, the boards are flat and the marking is legible. From a distance they’re hard to tell apart from new ones. They suit situations where your customer sees the pallet – deliveries to shops, product displays, exports to partners who care about appearance. Because there are fewer of them and they’re in better condition, light pallets cost more.

Used EPAL pallet – dark

Dark pallets have been in circulation longer. The wood has darkened over time and may show signs of use, but the structure is sound and the pallet is fit for work. They are the better-value option for internal logistics, warehouse storage, building materials, farm produce and waste for recycling – anywhere appearance doesn’t matter.

How to choose

Ask yourself: will the end customer see the pallet? If yes, go for light. If the pallet stays with you or travels between your own sites, go for dark. Many companies buy both grades: light for outbound deliveries, dark for the warehouse. If you’re unsure, describe your goods to us over the phone and we’ll advise you.

Used euro-size skids 120×80

As well as euro pallets, we sell used euro-size skids 1200×800 – light. A skid is a lighter construction than a euro pallet and is used for lighter loads, one-way shipments or when you don’t take part in pallet exchange. Used pallets wholesale

Used pallets are most often bought wholesale – from dozens up to full truckloads. The price per pallet is better with larger quantities. If you have an ongoing need, we can arrange regular deliveries. See Wholesale pallets for businesses.

We also sell small quantities. If you need just a few pallets, you can collect them from our yard at 270 Vasil Levski Blvd, Plovdiv, during business hours (Monday–Friday 08:00–18:00, Saturday 09:00–14:00) after calling ahead.

What determines the price of used pallets

• grade – light or dark;
• type – EPAL euro pallet or euro-size skid;
• quantity;
• delivery – distance and number of pallets;
• stock on the day – when a grade is plentiful, the price is better.

Used pallets and the environment

Every used pallet that goes back into service means one less new pallet – less timber felled and less waste. The cycle of buy-back, sorting, repair and resale extends a pallet’s life many times over. It’s good for you and good for the environment.

Delivery and exchange

We deliver anywhere in Bulgaria with our own trucks. Within Plovdiv and Plovdiv Province, delivery is same-day. For other towns, by arrangement; the cost depends on distance and quantity, with no fixed minimum. See Pallet delivery and Pallets across Bulgaria.

Who buys used pallets

Used euro pallets are the workhorse of logistics. They’re bought by warehouses and distributors with a constant turnover who can’t afford new pallets for every shipment. They’re bought by building materials manufacturers – bricks, blocks, tiles, bags of dry mix – where the pallet is just a carrier and often doesn’t come back. Farms use them under crates of produce, and traders use them to organise stock in the warehouse. Private individuals also look for used pallets for gardens, workshops and garages.

What they all have in common is that they need a sound, standard 1200×800 pallet at a reasonable price. That’s exactly what we offer: checked pallets, sorted by grade, so you pay for the kind you need and nothing more.

How to make your pallets last longer

A used pallet can serve for a long time if you handle it with care. Don’t drag it across the floor with the forks, don’t drop it from a height, protect it from constant rain and don’t put a concentrated load on a single point. When you no longer need your pallets, don’t throw them away – call us and we’ll buy them back.

Not a business, but need a few pallets for the garden, the workshop or for storage in the basement? You’re welcome too.
