How does our impregnation tank work?
Timber that has already been cut to size is treated by full immersion. The boards are stacked into packs, separated by cross battens so that every face is exposed, and lowered under the surface of the impregnant with a hydraulic arm. A standard dip lasts between 30 and 60 minutes. An extended 24-hour immersion gives longer-lasting protection, with a penetration depth of up to 3 mm.
